Founder and President

Mary Hecht-Kissell is the founder and president of PR Strategies. Prior to starting her own PR firm, she served as the sole public relations manager for Cisco System’s east coast headquarters in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. Previously, Hecht-Kissell was employed by Verizon where she held several positions in public relations, corporate marketing and federal marketing.  She also led the technology PR team at Rockett, Burkhead, Lewis & Winslow, a Raleigh-based advertising and PR firm.

Hecht-Kissell has always had a penchant for marketing and technology. She earned a Masters degree in Business Administration from The George Washington University and a Bachelors of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
Hecht-Kissell is the Vice President of Marketing for the Triangle chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). She is also a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).  She resides in Raleigh, North Carolina with her husband and two sons.
